Minimising Recurrence

Figure 3:
Blue Phthalocyanine Attaches to Cell Membrane

Only after the bulk of the cancer has been reduced with cycles of Chlorin-Chlorophyll, is it effective to use the Phthalocyanine sensitiser to minimise recurrence. Some patients may require more than one cycle. As with Chlorin-Chlorophyll, the cycle starts with the application of the sensitiser in this case Phthalocyanine. The following day we deliver light with our computer controlled robotic arm. Patients then receive a small light source that they use themselves to apply light daily for a further two weeks.

Phthalocyanine selectively adheres to fatty outer membranes of cancer cells. When our special lamp delivers its enormous photon flux, the Phthalocyanine engages the whole immune system in an active process of recognition and removal of cancer cells. See Figure 4. The activated immune cells move into adjacent lymph nodes. Within days the lymph nodes shed activated immune cells throughout the body.

With Phthalocyanine the objective is to minimise recurrence. Phthalocyanine Light Therapy does not directly damage cancer cells. It initiates a full blown immune response that finds all tiny clumps of cancer cells even those circulating in the blood or when they have taken up residence in another organ such as the liver or brain and even when shielded from the light behind bone.

Phthalo is a sensitiser we manufacture. Because it makes a patient sensitive to sunlight great care should be taken to minimise exposure to the sun during treatment.
